Vulcanized –“Vulc” shoes are light, flexible and break in quickly. These don’t provide as much foot protection as cupsoles, but they are preferred if you’re looking for good board feel in a shoe with less weight and bulk.
Cupsole –Durable and shock-absorbing to provide the best impact protection against hard landings. Cupsoles generally last longer than a vulcanized sole but don’t provide as much flexibility and board feel right out of the box.Footbed
PopCush™ –Vans’ PopCush insoles snap back and won’t pack! This proprietary foam compound was meticulously tuned and tested for impact protection, superior cushioning, and custom energy return. This upgraded foam performs better than Vans’ UltraCush™ compound for all types of skating so you can skate longer and go harder than ever before.Details
Wafflecup™ Construction –A vulcanized cupsole? YES. This revolutionary construction offers skaters the support of a cupsole with the board feel of a vulcanized shoe.
LuxLiner Bootie Construction –This advanced liner construction improves the comfort and fit by enabling the shoe to conform and move with the shape of the foot. This free-floating liner is an extension of the tongue. It’s hidden under the front surface of the shoe and is able to move independently from the outer shell.
This system increases airflow, breathability and reduces any chance of hot spots or pinching in the toe box.
Duracap™ –Developed and tested to withstand the abuse of the Vans pro skateboarding team; reinforcement is provided through rubber underlays in the toebox and ollie-area for lasting durability to save you time and money.
